NIH-funded National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource Center
NIH-funded National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource Center
How a newly formed NIH-funded resource center for pediatric rehabilitation garnered international recognition.
Opportunity
The NIH-funded National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource Center, led by Sharon Landesman Ramey, Ph.D., wanted a clean, professional, and easy-to-navigate website to help them share research insights and best practices with fellow scientists, occupational therapists, and parents of children with neuromotor deficits.
Our Solution
In 2020, biomedical researchers from Virginia Tech, Ohio State University, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital received National Institutes of Health funding to develop one of six national centers in the Medical Rehabilitation Resource Network.
The scientists needed to develop a brand identity, website, marketing collateral, and news releases to support the National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource Center launch. While directing communications for Virginia Tech’s Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, Mesa Marketing’s founder Whitney developed the resource center’s brand and logo design, communication strategy, media relations strategy, and custom WordPress website design.
